We get emails every now and then asking us how we compare to CafePress. Well, the best thing is we are cheaper and offer some things that CafePress doesn’t. Our shirts are just $10 for one shirt while CafePress starts at $15 if you are trying to resell the shirt and I think even more if they are making a one time shirt.
We can also print on the sleeves and sides of the shirt. Last time I checked CafePress they only offered normal printing on the front and back.
We also charge less for shipping. They charge $5.25 per shirt and we charge about half of that. Everything you can do to keep your costs down improves your profit. You can also offer a lower price to your customers which might lead to more sales and more profit in the long run.
CafePress does offer some things that we don’t. Mainly their “set and forget” type of business. All you have to do is upload your design and they host the designs and print and sell the shirts. You get a commission check at the end of the month. We print and ship the shirts for you, or to you. You are required to host the designs and collect the payment from your customers. With us you do more work, but you keep more of the money.
